IPVE 2016

Dear Colleagues,

The 13th International Plant Virus Epidemiology Symposium took place at the University of Avignon, France, from Monday 6 June to Friday 10 June 2016.

The symposium brought together 162 participants (35 undergraduate and graduate students) from 37 countries to discuss the latest advances in all areas of plant virus epidemiology.

A particular focus was given to the theme “Building bridges between disciplines for sustainable management of plant virus diseases” since Avignon is situated in the heart of a historic area of fruit and vegetable production where many seed companies and research and technical institutes are located.
