The journal Tree Physiology (ISSN 1758-4469, IF 3.655) is soliciting submissions for a Invited Issue entitled "Tree Physiology and Genomics ”. Dr. J Cooke of the University of Alberta (Canada), and Dr. CJ Tsai of the University of Georgia (USA), are serving as Guest Editors for this issue. Genomics approaches are increasingly being used in tree physiology research to shed unprecedented insight on function and processes. This invited issue will highlight studies that employ omics to address physiological processes at scales of biological organization spanning from the molecular to the community and beyond. Investigations that integrate across scales of biological organization are encouraged, as are investigations that integrate physiology with other disciplines. Diverse omics approaches are welcome, including but not limited to comparative genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics and high-throughput phenotyping of functional traits. We welcome research papers, methods papers, and reviews.
We welcome manuscripts arising from research presented at the IUFRO Genomics and Forest Tree Genetics Conference (https://colloque.inra.fr/iufro2016) that are aligned with the Invited Issue theme. We also encourage other contributions from the forest tree genetics and genomics community. If you are interested in being part of this Invited Issue, please send a tentative title, author list and abstract to treephys.editorialoffice_at_oup.com. These submissions will be considered for invitation.
The submission deadline is December 31 2016, with a target publication date of June 2017. Submitted papers should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
